The Cotswold Show

The Cotswold Show

We've not managed to get to the Cotswold country show before as it's usually taking place when we are away elsewhere, but with a free Sunday for once we headed over to the Bathurst Estate to take in the sights. Understandably I spent the most time in the rare breeds tent.

Light at the end of the tunnel

Light at the end of the tunnel

This week I had the joy of finishing a day early. alas that joy was spoiled by the fact it was easter and so had everyone else. It also seemed that they’d all decided to take the train to somewhere, anywhere really it seemed as long as it involved the train I was on.

On Adventure and Silver Awards

As County Commissioner of Solihull I am often asked to present awards and speak at County events. In the early days I would fly by the seat of my pants quickly learning that good public speaking needs a clearer message than can be delivered through the medium of umm's and stagnant pauses as I think...

Solihull County Camp 2014

At the first County Exec of 2014 last night Paul our camp leader unveiled the plans so far to the meeting.  I'm pleased to say it's looking really good. Not only are we on a site inside the County, but the beginnings of the programme are looking awesome, with plenty for everyone to do.
